Free Money Friday- Help Prevent Outbreaks, like COVID-19
The Coronavirus outbreak is a very serious issue across the nation and the world. Right now, we can take preventative measures to stay safe. However, it is also more important than ever to equip ourselves with knowledge to develop vaccines and other medicines that may save lives.
The Centers for Disease Control is making this possible with its grant, called the Building Capacity for National Public Health Institutes Department of Health and Human Services. The health agency is offering $3 million dollars to any business, non-profit organization or county government offering a sustainable solution for building global public health capacity and increase public health impact. For 70 years, the CDC has helped countries around the world increase surveillance, outbreak response capacity and laboratory to improve recognition of and response health threats.
