Free Money Friday- School Based Healthcare Solutions Network Grant
Mental Health assistance is available for education organizations. Grant money is being offered by the School Based Healthcare Solutions Network, to help kids receive mental health services despite changes during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Up to $5,000 is available for schools, charter school management companies and Learning Education Agencies. SBHSN is accepting applications to implement Telehealth programs services for short and long-term school closures. This includes the distribution of health-related services, information and long-distance patient intervention and monitoring.
The purpose of this program is to promote a collaborative and integrated approach amongst the education and healthcare community to ensure students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while confined to home learning mandates during the nation’s current national emergency. All funding must be used to expand access to quality behavioral healthcare to students with a history of attendance, behavior, and poor academic performance during the last two academic years.
Once schools reopen, the funding will support the placement of a mental health professional on school campuses. There is a full list of eligible participants on the website.
